New Dems Ready to Win 1 Week Out from Election Day

Washington, D.C. — Today, one week ahead of the midterm elections, New Democrat Coalition Action Fund Chair Greg Stanton (AZ-04) released the following statement on New Dems’ closing message and prospects:

“As we have done cycle after cycle, New Dems recruited the best possible candidates in the toughest races on the map. We know the American people are desperate for change, which is why our candidates have remained laser-focused on the issues that matter — bringing down the cost of living and fighting corruption. Meanwhile, Congressional Republicans have rubber-stamped cuts to healthcare and food assistance, inflationary tariffs, and a war that is costing everyone at the pump. The contrast could not be clearer, and with one week left, we are sprinting through the tape to deliver a governing Democratic House majority.

“New Dems are running the largest, most sophisticated political operation in our history — supporting 152 members and candidates across the country, including 50 endorsed candidates and 22 Frontline members. We're investing in an expanded battlefield that no one imagined just a few months ago, let alone at the start of this cycle. Our candidates are outworking, outraising, and outperforming their Republican opponents everywhere and will be the majority makers come November 3rd."

New Dems Contributions This Cycle:

  • Majority Makers: 22 of the DCCC's 26 Frontline Members are New Dems, and the NewDem Action Fund has endorsed 36 of the DCCC's 46 Red to Blue candidates. In total, we've endorsed 50 candidates for U.S. Congress.

  • Record fundraising: This cycle, the NewDem Action Fund has bundled and raised more than $14 million for Members and candidates, including over $3 million for the DCCC.

  • Out-raising Republicans: New Dem Red to Blue challengers out-raised sitting Republican incumbents in 30 of 36 races in Q3, up from 19 in Q1 and 22 in Q2. New Dem Frontline Members hold a cash-on-hand lead in 21 of 22 races.

  • Hands-on support: Beyond fundraising, the Action Fund has deployed staff, given candidates staff training, messaging and communications coaching, and direct polling investments.

  • Winning primaries: 92% of New Dem-endorsed candidates won their primaries.
