ICYMI — Politico Playbook: "That's How You Win a Majority"

Washington, D.C. — Five days out from Election Day, NewDem Action Fund Chair Greg Stanton (AZ-04) and New Democrat Coalition Chair Brad Schneider (IL-10) sat down with Dasha Burns and the Politico Playbook Podcast to make the case that the New Dem candidates will deliver a hard-fought Democratic majority by winning in the toughest Trump districts on their commonsense, cost-focused message.

Chair Stanton on how we win the majority:

"On November 4th, the number one political story in America is not going to be about what happened in Democratic primaries … What we focus in on is winning in the toughest seats in the United States of America, including many that Trump won. That's how you build a majority. That's how you win a majority, and that's the biggest story on November 4."

Chair Schneider on what comes next:

"We should stop talking about ideology and start talking about results and making life better for the American people. Put your damn oar in the water and let's start rowing forward."

New Dems Contributions This Cycle:

  • Majority Makers: 22 of the DCCC's 26 Frontline Members are New Dems, and the NewDem Action Fund has endorsed 36 of the DCCC's 46 Red to Blue candidates. In total, we've endorsed 50 candidates for U.S. Congress.

  • Record fundraising: This cycle, the NewDem Action Fund has bundled and raised more than $14 million for Members and candidates, including over $3 million for the DCCC.

  • Out-raising Republicans: New Dem Red to Blue challengers out-raised sitting Republican incumbents in 30 of 36 races in Q3, up from 19 in Q1 and 22 in Q2. New Dem Frontline Members hold a cash-on-hand lead in 21 of 22 races.

  • Polling the battlefield: $600,000 invested in research and polling to help guide our members.

  • Hands-on support: Beyond fundraising, the Action Fund has deployed staff, given candidates staff training, messaging and communications coaching, and direct polling investments.

  • Winning primaries: 92% of New Dem-endorsed candidates won their primaries.
