New Dem Chair Schneider Celebrates Victories in Arizona Primaries

Washington, DC — Today, New Democrat Coalition Chair Brad Schneider (IL-10) issued a statement on the results of the Democratic primary elections in Arizona.

New Democrat Coalition Action Fund Chair Greg Stanton (AZ-04) delivered a decisive victory and NDAF-endorsed candidates JoAnna Mendoza (AZ-06) and Jonathan Nez (AZ-02) advanced to their general elections uncontested to take on Republican incumbents Juan Ciscomani and Eli Crane, respectively.

New Dems were early supporters of both JoAnna Mendoza and Jonathan Nez, helping to clear the field for these exceptional candidates. Both JoAnna and Jonathan are also members of the DCCC’s Red to Blue program.

“New Dems showed our strength in Arizona last night. Together, Congressman Stanton and our endorsed candidates demonstrated that Arizonans are longing for commonsense leadership,” said New Dem Chair Brad Schneider. “We’re incredibly proud of JoAnna Mendoza and Jonathan Nez, who continue gaining momentum as they work to flip critical seats to turn Arizona and the House of Representatives blue in November.”

“Juan Ciscomani and Eli Crane have spent the past year voting for higher prices and ripping healthcare and food assistance from working families rather than working to make life better for their fellow Arizonans. JoAnna and Jonathan are laser focused on improving the lives of Arizonans and driving down the cost of living – and that’s why they’re going to win.”
