New Dems Endorse Five Candidates in California, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, and Arizona

Washington, DC — Today, the New Democrat Coalition Action Fund (NDAF) announced its endorsement of five additional candidates fighting for seats that are essential to the House majority: Marlene Galán-Woods (AZ-01), Richard Pan (CA-06), Bale Dalton (FL-07), Lindsay James (IA-02), and Jeremy Moss (MI-11).

"These five candidates are pragmatic, battle-tested, and laser-focused on lowering costs, exactly the kind of people who flip and hold tough seats," said Rep. Kim Schrier (WA-08), NDAF Finance Chair. "House Republicans spent last year raising costs and gutting health care to hand tax breaks to the wealthy. Richard, Bale, Lindsay, Jeremy, and Marlene are running to make them answer for it, and to deliver the majority in November."

As Kevin Kiley and House Republicans enable Trump’s extreme agenda, CA-06 needs a representative who will protect our freedoms, lower costs, and focus on relief for working families. I’m excited to join the New Democrat Coalition to deliver for working people.”

I’m going to take my record of results to Washington, DC and continue to deliver for Michigan families.”

Marlene Galán-Woods (AZ-01): A former broadcast journalist and East Valley school board president, Galán-Woods has the DCCC's backing in a race for one of the country's best open seat pickup opportunities, which forecasters now rate a toss-up in the general election.

Richard Pan (CA-06): A pediatrician and former state senator with a record of winning tough races, Pan advanced through California's top-two primary, earned a spot in the DCCC’s Red to Blue program, and now faces Republican Rep. Kevin Kiley in November.

Bale Dalton (FL-07): A Navy captain, combat veteran, and former NASA chief of staff, Dalton has already earned a spot on the DCCC's Red to Blue program in his bid to oust scandal-plagued Republican Rep. Cory Mills.

Lindsay James (IA-02): A state representative and minister, James won her Democratic primary and enters the general election with real momentum against Republican Joe Mitchell.

Jeremy Moss (MI-11): The Michigan State Senate President Pro Tempore, Moss leads the entire MI-11 field in fundraising, with more than $1 million raised and a commanding cash-on-hand advantage.
