New Dems Sweep in Michigan, Virginia Races

Washington, DC — Tonight, New Democrat Coalition Action Fund Chair Greg Stanton (AZ-04) issued a statement after all four New Dem-endorsed candidates in Michigan and Virginia prevailed in their primary elections. 

Sean McCann (MI-04), Jeremy Moss (MI-11), Shannon Taylor (VA-01), and Elaine Luria (VA-02) will advance to their general elections in four key races that will help decide the House majority in November. More than 90 percent of New Dem-endorsed candidates have won their primaries this cycle, the highest rate of any member-led organization.

“From the Midwest to the Mid-Atlantic, New Dems keep proving that our brand of pragmatic politics is what voters want. Sean, Jeremy, Shannon, and Elaine are running smart, issues-based campaigns, and they are in a strong position to flip and hold four critical seats that will decide the House majority in November,” said NDAF Chair Greg Stanton (AZ-04). “New Dems remain laser-focused on our mission: back the strongest candidates on the edges of the battlefield and get House Democrats to 218 and beyond.”
