PRESS RELEASE
New Dems Raise Over $14 Million to Win Majority
Washington, D.C. — One day ahead of the midterm elections, NewDem Action Fund Chair Greg Stanton (AZ-04) released the following statement:
"Tomorrow, voters get to throw out the House Republicans who gutted their health care, drove up their costs, and let corruption take root. New Dems are leaving nothing on the field. Every door, every call, every vote: we’re going out there and finishing the job.”
New Dems Contributions This Cycle:
Majority Makers: 22 of the DCCC's 26 Frontline Members are New Dems, and the NewDem Action Fund has endorsed 36 of the DCCC's 46 Red to Blue candidates, and 50 candidates total.
Record fundraising: This cycle, the NewDem Action Fund has bundled and raised more than $14 million for Members and candidates, including over $3 million for the DCCC.
Out-raising Republicans: New Dem Red to Blue challengers out-raised sitting Republican incumbents in 30 of 36 races in Q3, up from 19 in Q1. New Dem Frontline Members hold a cash-on-hand lead in 21 of 22 races.
Polling the battlefield: $600,000 invested in research and polling to help guide our members.
Hands-on support: Beyond fundraising, the Action Fund has deployed staff, given candidates staff training, messaging and communications coaching, and direct polling investments.
Winning primaries: 92% of New Dem-endorsed candidates won their primaries.

New Dems have recruited 50 of the country's best candidates from 27 states, while also defending 22 front-line seats. New Dems lined up behind some of the cycle's biggest names as early as 2025, giving them the resources to get through tough primaries.
New Dems backed candidates like Denise Powell (NE-02) and Cait Conley (NY-17) in heavily contested primaries because we knew they gave us the best odds to flip seats in November. In Iowa, we backed Sarah Trone Garriott (IA-03), who has won three tough races on Republican turf, clearing the field for her to focus on the race against Zach Nunn. Since then, she built the biggest challenger war chest in districts history and has pushed the race to a toss-up. In Scranton, we supported Paige Cognetti (PA-08), the mayor who cleaned up City Hall after her predecessor pleaded guilty to corruption. Now she’s outraised Rob Bresnahan while his stock-trading controversies pile up and she’s on track to win.
Republicans redrew New Dem Rep. Don Davis’s district (NC-01) into a Trump +11 seat and called him the most vulnerable Democrat in the country. He’s still standing and polling ahead of Laurie Buckhout in the final stretch. New Dem Rep. Gabe Vasquez (NM-02) has won one of the closest seats in America twice, and this year he’s outraised his Trump-endorsed challenger more than two to one. That’s the New Dem model: pragmatic candidates who fit their districts, backed early and backed hard, ready to win the seats that decide the majority.
